- KNOWLEDGE: "You want weapons? We're in a library. Books are the best weapon in the world. This room's the greatest arsenal we could have. Arm yourself!" ---Dr. Who. From our very first words and steps, we begin almost all things in life with the acquisition of knowledge through learning, reading, and experiencing.
- INSPIRATION: Be inspired. "Don't be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led by the dreams in your heart." ---Roy T. Bennett. Every single dream and creative endeavor in life are the result of poetic inspiration. The Celts called it imbas or awen, and it's the means by which we turn the three Cauldrons of Poesy upright within ourselves.
- ENLIGHTENMENT: "Each river is different, but they all eventually lead to the ocean. No matter what we're doing or when, or whether it brings us happiness or remorse, gain or loss, we're all on our individual paths to enlightenment. Even when we've done something we consider wrong, we're still on our path to enlightenment." ---Chris Prentiss. It is possible to know something without actually comprehending it. Enlightenment illuminates our thoughts and understanding.
- TRUTH: "By doubting, we are led to question; by questioning, we arrive at the truth." ---Peter Abelard. We must all of us, always, be seekers of truth, unafraid to doubt, unafraid to question. For it is only by asking the question "Whom doth the Grail serve?" that the Wasteland may be restored to its glorious abundance and shining truth, to become once more the Land of Plenty.
- WISDOM: "By three methods we may learn wisdom: first, by reflection, which is the noblest; second, by imitation, which is the easiest; and third, by experience, which is the bitterest." ---Confucious. Ultimately, wisdom is the humble and judicious use of knowledge, enlightenment, inspiration, and truth. Silence and stillness are often the province of the Wise.
