INTRODUCTION TO COFF: It is important that before taking any other course or extension class here at COFF, you first complete the Introduction to COFF lesson. This is required of all tuition-paying students, because they have access to COFF's entire site.

As you work your way through the introductory lesson, you will quickly discover that COFF is a large, relatively complex school, divided into four primary sections: the Main (About COFF) Section, the Forums Section (both Public and Private Forums), the School (Moodle) Section, and the Storefront (Shopping Cart/Payment) Section. The Forums are further subdivided into a number of different sites. In addition, COFF is linked to The Market Street Shops, which is home to COFF's shops, including Ceridwen's Cauldron and Star-Wheel Graphics. While every effort has been made to ensure that COFF's four primary sections are all clearly delineated and that they work together smoothly and seamlessly, it is still up to you to learn where everything here at COFF is located and how to find your way around our halls.

This lesson has been designed specifically to help you do just that. Basically, it teaches you exactly what you need to know to be able to navigate COFF easily and successfully. In addition, this lesson will assist you with your avatar, signature, and in building your Enchanted Cottage in The Village. It will also provide you with some general guidelines for your time here at COFF. Just like every other online School of the Mysteries, COFF has its own rules, regulations, and requirements, and you need to familiarize yourself with all those right from the start. This is so that you don't miss vital information, training, Festivals, etc., along the way, which are necessary for your successful completion of Degrees.

*This lesson must be completed before any other lesson here at COFF.

SECOND DEGREEDuring the 21 lessons of our Second Degree, you'll continue your study of Celtic Mysticism and Druidcraft, and how they can represent the best of various belief and magickal systems, as well as learn in depth about the Sun's Wheel of the Year and its eight Festivals. You'll add the study of the Light Half of the Year to the Dark Half of the Year, along with the Solar Calendar, Astrological Timing, the Sun, Sun Magick, and creating sundalas. You'll celebrate the Solar Festivals (the solstices and the equinoxes, also called the Quarters) and the Earth Festivals (also called the Cross Quarters), begin writing, taking roles in, and even leading Solar/Earth Rituals of your own, and practice Drawing Down the Sun. You'll find out about the Land and Sovereignty, the Green Man, and working with flowers, herbs, plants, and trees, as well as Earth Priesting/Priestessing and Witchery, Green and Healing Magick, and the Poison Path. You'll continue your work with Ritual Tools, and begin ascending the great World Tree, in search of knowledge and healing.

Along with the Land of the Living, you'll explore the Land of the Dead, Honoring the Ancestors, the Keeper of the Keys, the Phantom Mare, the Wild Hunt, the Harlequin, the Männerbund, and the Lady With a Mead Cup. You'll meet the Áes Sídhe (People of the Mound; Faeries) and discover that they're not the sweet, twee little creatures that you may think they are. At harvest time, you'll learn why John Barleycorn must die, acquire a deeper understanding of the Grim Reaper and the Crow Road, investigate what causes the Sorrow of the Earth, and delve into Faery and Harvest Magick. You'll learn about the Immortality of the Divine, Great Gob's Brew, Apple Magick, philtres and potions, and crystals/stones and crystal grids. *PREREQUISITE FOR THIS COURSE: Successful completion of the First Degree.

THIRD DEGREEDuring the 21 lessons of our Third Degree, you'll continue your study of Celtic Mysticism and Druidcraft, and how they can represent the best of various belief and magickal systems, as well as learn in depth about the Navigator's Compass and the Twelve Winds of Color. You'll explore Wind Priesting/Priestessing, and Wind Magick. You'll ride with the Gathan-Dubha (Storm Riders; lit. Black Darts), and work with the Dagda and his magickal harp, Uaithne (Four-Angled Music), which sings on the winds and changes the seasons and humans' emotions. You'll spend some time star-gazing, working with Arianrhod's Silver Wheel, delving into Star Magick, and being introduced to the Mill of Time. You'll meet Spirit Allies, Clan Totems, Nature Spirits, and other entities, and discover how to develop a relationship with your own personal Guides and your family Totems. Like the Shamans and Witches of old, you'll continue learning how to Walk Between the Worlds, how to become adept at Hedge Riding.

Air is the provenance of both the First Breath and the Last Breath, and in between come both words and song. You'll engage in controlled breathing in conjunction with raising energy, and learn how both intonation and rhyme strengthen magick and make spellwork easier to remember. The Celts revered both speech and song, seeing them as tools perhaps even more powerful than a magick wand or a sword. Satire was one of their primary weapons, and they compared their God Ogmios to Hercules, because the eloquence of Ogmios's speech was considered as potent a force as Hercules's great physical strength. You'll explore this and other such concepts. In addition, you'll study the Music of the Spheres and hear that our planets are all singing, and you'll investigate the relationship between music, song, and our own health and well-being. You'll find out how to incorporate Shamanism into Druidcraft and your own personal spiritual practice --- plus much, much more.
