ADVANCED NATURAL DYEING ~ A COLOR ADVENTURE: In this extension class, we are going on a color adventure. We will create a record of each color, have a sample to keep in the record book, and have enough left to make anything you wish. You will have 72 different colors from wool and cotton. We will explore not just the dyeing process you have already learned, but also over-dyeing.
Needed for This Class: All the supplies from the basics class, plus Tannic Acid, Indigo Powder, a natural dye of your choice, Rite dye remover, and Washing Soda. It would help if you also had on hand a pair of rubber gloves. You will need them for the indigo dyeing. You will also need yarn, 100% wool in white and grey, plus cotton in white or natural.
Won't you join me in exploring even more in the world of natural color?
*Basic Natural Dyeing is the Prerequisite for this course.
*Extension classes are free for all tuition-paying students.

Knot & Net Magick ~ Exploring the World of Knots: In this class, we will go over the concept and different uses for Knot & Net Magick, and you will try your hand at some Knot & Net projects. At the end of the class, we hope that with practice, you will be proficient using knots and/or nets in your magickal workings.
Needed for this Class: String: this can be butcher twine, kitchen twine, hemp, rattail, or anything that isn't too soft; you want some stiffness to your string. As a beginner, this will help you to achieve easier knot-making. I would stay away from wool, acrylic, and any soft knitting or crochet yarns.
